Outside Study Gateway

The Emageon Outside Study Gateway provides physicians access to medical imaging studies performed by outside facilities in a timely basis to allow for quick determinations on patient care. It standardizes the process for hospital physician access to imaging studies performed at other facilities. It enables the outside facilities to perform direct DICOM transfers to an Emageon proxy server in the receiving hospital facility vendor network, providing for patient data and QC integrity checks to be performed by the proxy server as well as the auto-forwarding of the exam into the receiving hospital facility’s PACS.
